David Smith is the director of tHReshold, established to help organisations raise the standard of human resources in SME's and the Not-for-Profit sector. By implementing a framework to manage human resources, tHReshold links people to the stratgey of the business to minimise risk and maximise sustainability.
With 15 years management experience David has extensive experience in managing professional associations and service based companies where he has worked across human resources, sales, advertising, marketing and customer service functions.
David is a certified member of the HR Coach Network, backed by the HR Research Institute which provides research based HR solutions to the SME market. David holds a Bachelor in Business majoring in Human Resources and Corporate Strategy. He has recently completed MBA units in HR Management, Organisational Behaviour, Management of Change, Industrial Relations and Processes of Management. From an international perspective, David spent 10 years working in the UK providing advice to SME's in his capacity as a Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative business adviser. He is also a qualified assessor for the European Foundation of Quality Management which promotes business excellence. He also holds a Diploma in Performance Coaching.
David has always believed that the best minute you invest is the one you invest in people. It is from this belief that high performing work teams can be created leading to improved productivity in the workplace.
